In June 2009 CVVM investigated, how Czech citizens evaluate material living conditions of their households and economic situation in the Czech Republic. Compared to previous years the expectations towards the future economic situation are quite sceptical. 61 % of informants thought that the economic situation of the Czech Republic would get worse in the next year and 37 % were afraid about the future economic situation of their households.
57 % of Czechs see the current economic situation of the country as bad; only 7 % think that it is good. Actual material living conditions of households are on the other hand evaluated more often as good (40 %) than bad (17 %).
