Evaluation of the quality of education and educational attainment of the Czech public - August/September 2023

A periodical survey conducted by the CVVM from August to September 2023 surveyed the opinions of the Czech public over the age of 15 on the level of education at individual types of schools, whether or not everyone in the Czech Republic is able to achieve an education appropriate to their abilities, the evaluation of their schooling to date, whether or not children with different characteristics should be educated together in regular classes, and attitudes toward various measures that have been introduced or are being discussed for possible introduction in the education system.

The assessment of the level of education in all types of schools that are part of the Czech education system has remained positive for a long time. The highest ratings are given to grammar schools (64% positive), primary schools (63%) and universities (61%), while the lowest ratings are given to vocational secondary schools, although positive ratings prevail here as well (51%).

We surveyed the opinion on the level of indebtment among the Czech citizens and on the level of indebtment of the Czech state. With regard to these two fields of indebtment, we also asked questions about how serious a problem the current level of indebtment poses to the Czech people.

In January 2020 Public Opinion Research Centre carried out a survey about debts and loans. In this press release are published attitudes of Czech citizens to debts of common people. In this text there are also published attitudes of Czechs to individual debts, e.g. acceptability of loans for real estate, education, consumption, car, holidays or for starting a business. Another question was focused on importance of financial resources for unexpected expenses and difficulties with the repayment of debts.

Why People Have Borrowed Money, What They Currently Pay, And How Easily - January 2019

In January 2019 survey the Public Opinion Research Centre examined a set of issues relating to money lending and debt repayment. Respondents were specifically asked whether they had borrowed anything in the last ten years, what loans they are currently repaying, those who owe money were asked, whether it is difficult, or easy to be repaying their loans, and how they evaluate the importance of generating financial reserves in their household.
