Czech Public's Attitudes to Foreigners - March 2010

In March survey CVVM investigated Czech public's views with regard to foreigners who live in the long term or permanently in Czech Republic. 78 % of Czechs think that incomers should have had the right to stay here in the long term under some conditions, 10 % would support this right with no restricting conditions and only 9 % said that foreigners should not have any right to stay in the long term in Czech Republic.

41 % of citizens agree that Czech Republic should allow incomers to stay here permanently, 53 % disagree with that. 50 % of Czechs evaluate the amount of foreigners living in the Czech Republic as "too high", 39 % consider it to be "appropriate".
