Citizens on inflation and real incomes - April 2025

More than half (56%) of Czech citizens are of the opinion that their real incomes are lower than last year. A third (33%) rate their real income as about the same and a tenth (10%) rate their real income as higher than last year.
Ratings of the change in household real income over the past year are highly significantly positively correlated with ratings of household income levels.

Almost three-quarters (71%) of respondents expect further inflationary depreciation of the currency this year, while just under a quarter (24%) believe that this depreciation will be significant.
A third (34%) of citizens rated inflation for 2024 as somewhat acceptable, while three-fifths (60%) rated it as somewhat unacceptable.
