Public on the European Green Deal

In the first decade of August 2024, a block of questions dedicated to energy issues was included in the Our Society panel survey. Some of the questions focused on the issue of the European Green Deal of the year 2020.

Only three out of ten (30%) respondents said they had enough information about the European Green Deal.

48% of Czech citizens agree with the European Green Deal, while an equally large portion of the public disagrees with it.

Seven out of ten (71%) believe that the Green Deal contributes to disproportionate energy price increases.

Only one-sixth (17%) of Czech citizens consider the target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 55 percent, which was set for 2030 in accordance with the Green Deal, to be achievable in the Czech Republic, while a two-thirds majority think that this target is not achievable.
