In the May survey the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on the issue of energetics. Regular set of questions related to this matter was amended with several questions concerning so-called "Energiewende", i.e. energy transition in neighboring Germany.

In May 2017 a survey of the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on issue of power engineering. The survey dealt with a question of the future development of electricity consumption in the country, and whether or not it is possible to replace the production of electricity from conventional sources with alternative sources. Furthermore, the survey has found out how environmentally friendly the production of electricity is from some sources according to general public. The investigation also examined the acceptability or unacceptability of the rise in energy prices in consequence of the financial support of their production from renewable sources.

In May 2017 the survey of the Public Opinion Research Centre incorporated a regular set of questions focused on the theme of energy that was expanded by some special questions. The survey investigated interest in energy policy of the Czech Republic and its evaluation by citizens. It also focused on attitudes to matters like breaking of limitation on surface mining of lignite in Nothern Bohemia, financial favouring of exploitation of renewable resources of energy, possibility of production of electricity and heat in smaller local plants, environmental friendliness of atomic energy, or necessity of modernisation of Czech coal power plants with intention to prolong their lifespan.

In May 2017, the Public Opinion Research Centre asked questions about environment and its protection.

In April 2017 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions connected to environment. Respondents evaluated condition of environment in the Czech Republic and in residence. Next citizens rated the size of their satisfaction with concrete areas of environment in their residence such as cleanness of air, surrounding nature and surface water. Respondents also evaluated traffic density, level of noise and the quality of drinking water. Last question is focused on how much are respondents interested in information connected to environment in the Czech Republic.

In May 2016 within the survey "Our Society", the annual block of questions on the topic of energy was exceptionally extended for some specific questions.

In May 2016 within the survey "Our Society", the annual block of questions on the topic of energy was exceptionally extended for some specific questions. The survey focused on the interest of citizens in energy policy of the Czech Republic, its evaluation, and views of people concerning future development in consumption of electric power.

In May 2016 the Public Opinion Research Centre within the broader thematic area of the environment enquired some questions related to the exploitation of nuclear energy in power engineering.

In its May's survey, CVVM examined attitudes of the Czech public to various environmental questions. Within this larger bloc there was a battery of questions concerning the willingness to do something for environment protection. Another question focused on the issue of funding of environment protection.
