In May 2017 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions connected to consumption of addictive narcotics and drugs. Respondents evaluated moral acceptability of consumption of tobacco, alcohol, pain pills, sleeping pills or tranquilizers, hemp drugs and drugs such as ecstasy, heroin and pervitin.

In April 2017 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions connected to environment. Respondents evaluated condition of environment in the Czech Republic and in residence. Next citizens rated the size of their satisfaction with concrete areas of environment in their residence such as cleanness of air, surrounding nature and surface water. Respondents also evaluated traffic density, level of noise and the quality of drinking water. Last question is focused on how much are respondents interested in information connected to environment in the Czech Republic.

In May 2017 within the regular survey the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on issues that could be perceived as morally controversial. Specifically, respondents answered questions concerned with the abortion and euthanasia. 

In its May's survey, the Public Opinion Research Centre examined attitudes of Czech citizens towards the death penalty. On the one hand, questions in the survey concerned the general view, whether the death penalty should exist in the Czech Republic, or not, on the other hand, they probed, in what extent people agree, or disagree, with different particular statements about the death penalty. 53 % of respondents hold the view the death penalty should exist in the Czech Republic.

In the May survey the Public Opinion Research Centre of the Institute of Sociology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic posed to all respondents a question: "How satisfied are you with your life? Are you very satisfied, rather satisfied, neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, rather dissatisfied, very dissatisfied?"

In May 2017 CVVM included a block of questions related to tolerance of Czech society towards homosexual oriented men and women into its regular survey Our Society. At the same time, there were questions focused on the attitudes of citizens to whether homosexual people should have certain rights: right to enter into a registered partnership, marry, adopt children from "institutions" - so-called children's homes, and adopt the children of their partner with whom they live and whose upbringing. The highest support has gained right to enter into a registered partnership while 76 % of respondents stated that homosexuals should have this right. We also asked whether respondents have some homosexual people among their friends or acquaintances. According to our research, homosexual friends have 37 % of Czech citizens. On the other hand, 49 % of respondents said they have none.

In March, the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on satisfaction with life in the locality in general and selected living conditions close to their home.

In March 2017 Public Opinion Research Centre examined as a part of its survey the opinions of the Czech public on long-term or permanently residing foreigners in the Czech Republic.

In March 2017 Public Opinion Research Centre focused on social distance among the majority population and different social groups. Social distance was measured by a specific question: people should pick from a list of 15 different groups those, which they would not like to have as neighbours.

In March 2017 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions connected to foreigners. Respondents commented on foreigners who live in the Czech Republic and in their place of residence. Research also included set of questions about general attitudes connected to foreigners such as their impact on Czech culture, unemployment, health ricks and economy. Respondents also evaluated whether foreigners are the solution of problem of ageing population in the Czech Republic.
