Public opinion on extremist political parties

In September 2009 CVVM investigated on the issue of extremism in politics. Respondents should name up to two political parties which are according to their opinion supposed to be extremist.

Majority named ultra-right wing parties and subjects as an extremist ones and only 10 % of respondents mentioned left wing Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSCM). So the percentage of respondents who mentioned KSCM dropped radically from 25 % in March 1999 to current 10 %.

This result is influenced not only by better image of KSCM in the eyes of public but also by raising activities of ultra-right wing subjects in Czech Republic.
