Citizenship is most noticeably manifested during elections; in case of the Czech entry to the European Union, the issue of the actual entry of the CZ to the EU, that is to say participation and voting in the referendum, is the first and most important decision, which will be followed by others – new citizens of the European Union will be voting members into the European Parliament on behalf of the Czech Republic.
The most significant finding is the fact that the support and agreement of Czech citizens in relation to the entry of the CZ to the EU has grown. There has been a continuing distinctive prevalence of the opinion that a Czech member of the European Parliament should rather be an independent personality (71 %), however compared with last year we can observe a slight increase in those who think that a Czech Euro MP should be a member of a political party (15 % compared with 11 % a year ago).
