Popularity of Top Politicians
In March survey CVVM SOÚ AV ČR investigated how respondents trust to selected politicians.(see table 1 and 2).They were a shown a list of names of 26 politicians. (All members of Government,president,chairmen of the Chamber of Deputies and Senate, leaders of Parties represented in Parliament, chief of Constitutional Court and eurocommissioner Špidla). Among our top politicians president Václav Klaus and minister of Culture Vítězslav Jandák are supposed to be the most trustworthy politicians by almost two thirds of respondents (both 64%).
Almost a half of respondents trust to ministress of Education Petra Buzková (48%). Approximately two fifths of citizens expressed their trust to prime minister Jiří Paroubek (41%) and chief of Constitutional Court Rychetský (39%).They are followed by minister B. Sobotka and minister C.Svoboda,who enjoy almost same level of citizens'ťrust (37% and 35%). Almost a third of respondents consider these ministers to be trustworthy: Škromach (32%), Rath (31%), Bublan (30%) and ODS leader Topolánek (29%)
In comparism to results of survey from February 2006 ( see table 2)trust in none of monitored politicians has increased remarkably.On the other side trust in these politicians has droped : leader of KDU ČSL Kalousek (-7% points), president Klaus, ODS leader Topolánek and eurocommissioner Špidla (all -4% points).
