Czech Public's Attitudes to Foreign countries - January 2015

In January survey CVVM investigated how sympathetic or unsympathetic are some selected countries to the Czech public. In this survey 25 countries were selected. The most sympathetic country among them according to Czech citizens is Slovakia followed by France, Sweden, Austria, Great Britain, and Italy.

Confidence in constitutional institutions and satisfaction with political situation in February 2015

In February 2015 within the regular survey CVVM SOÚ AV ČR, v.v.i., questioned respondents about their confidence in constitutional institutions. In this month there was a question about their trust to Chambers of Parliament, President, Government, Local and Regional Councils.

Party Preferences and Voting Model in February 2015

In February survey CVVM investigated how people trust to political Parties and whether they are willing to take part in elections to Chamber of Deputies. In the press release there are two different types of information: Party preference and a model of voting behaviour.
Party preferences give us information about public sympathy with political Parties in the group of citizens who have voting right and there is also included a part of citizens who will not take part in  elections or they do not knot who to vote for.
Voting model indicate anticipated result of elections to Chamber of Deputies in the time of the survey. Voting model comes out of Party preferences but it includes only those who want to take part in elections and they answered us a Party they would vote for – in short this group does not include undecided people and non – voters.

Czech Citizens about NATO Membership - January 2015

In January 2015 Public Opinion Research Centre carried out a survey about NATO. Within the project were examined satisfaction with membership in NATO. Satisfaction with NATO membership in Czech society prevails, 58 % of respondents stated, that they are satisfied with it.

Public opinion on performance of president Miloš Zeman - January 2015

In its regular survey in January 2014 the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on questions about the Miloš Zeman's presidency. Most Czechs think that president Zeman fulfills his constitutional functions (53 %) and he is in contact with people and knows their problems (53 %).

Popularity of Top Politicians - January 2015

In January 2015 CVVM SOÚ AV ČR investigated whether respondents trust to selected top politicians. They were given a list with 27 names of top politicians. In a survey there were included names of membres of Parliament, president, chairmen of Senate and Chamber of Deputies, leaders of political parties in Parliament and chief of Constitutional Court.

Citizens on Constitutional Competencies of a President - January 2015

January survey of CVVM made an inquiry into attitudes of citizens towards constitutional competencies of a president. Questions in the survey concerned the range of presidential competencies in general and also with regard to several particular competencies such as granting of amnesty or stopping a lawsuit, dismissing the Chamber of Deputies and refusing the law passed by the parliament. Two questions asked about the role of president in appointing the Board of the Czech National Bank and in appointing the judges of the Constitutional Court.
