According to November 2012 survey 11 % of citizens regard taxation on high-income earners as high, 21 % say it is adequate and 61 % think it is low. Taxation on average-income earners is considered to be high by 48 % of respondents, adequate by 44 % and low by 4 % of citizens. Taxation on low-income earners was supposed to be high by 75 %, adequate by 19 % and low by 1 %. 74 % of respondents think that tax rate should be higher for high-income earners than for low-income earners.

According to the November survey of CVVM, 70% of people evaluate the current economic situation in the Czech Republic as bad, 24% view it as neither good nor bad and 5% consider it to be good.

In June 2012 CVVM investigated, how Czech citizens evaluate material living conditions of their households and economic situation in the Czech Republic. In July comparable surveys on this theme were carried out also in Poland, Hungary and Slovakia.
