Public opinion on development of some monitored areas in year 2004

The Czech public evaluated development of environmental care most positively, when 37% of respondents thought the situation has improved in this area as opposed to 8 % of respondents who believed to the contrary and 49 % said there was no change in this area.

People are more satisfied than dissatisfied with foreign politics(19% : 14%) .The positive and negative opinions on the situation in area of the protection of human rights were almost balanced .

(15 % of respondents see improvement, 14 % see worsening). Public takes the most critical view of the last year’s development in all other monitored areas. The worst results were achieved in the labour policy where almost three fifths of respondents stated the situation was deteriorating, 44% of repondents stated that the situation remained unchanged, only 4 % talked about improvement. Czech public is critical to development in social politics, limiting of corruption,home policy and agricultural policy. More people suppose the situation in areas such as economic policy,security policy, limiting of economic crime and immigration policy is to be deteriorating, less people see improvement in these areas, though the most often opinion was that the situation remained unchanged. In comparism to last year people are less critical to almost all monitored areas.
