Confidence in constitutional institutions

Within its regular survey, the Public Opinion Research Centre again focused on the level of the public’s confidence in individual constitutional institutions. The president is trusted by 51% and not trusted by 47%. In comparison with the previous survey, the level of public confidence in the head of the state has not experienced any significant developments. The government is trusted by 41% and not trusted by 56% of the respondents.

The level of government’s trustworthiness stays the same as in previous surveys. The Chamber of Deputies is regarded as trustworthy by 33% and untrustworthy by 63% of the polled people. Similarly as in the case of the government, there has not been any significant change. The Senate is trusted by 27% and not trusted by 65% of interviewees. In comparison with the previous survey, the level of confidence in the Senate has grown of 4 % points. Regional councils enjoy confidence of 35% but are not trusted by 31% of the respondents. The level of public confidence in regional councils has practically not changed since the end of March. Let’s just add that there still remains a very high number of ”I don’t know” answers (34%).
