Public Opinion on Performance of President Petr Pavel - January 2026

In January's survey on the Our Society Panel, the Public Opinion Research Center focused on evaluating Petr Pavel's performance in the presidential office according to six selected criteria.

Positive assessments of Czech President Petr Pavel outweigh negative ones in all areas surveyed.

The Czech public rates most favorably his representation of the Czech Republic abroad (77%), followed by the way he upholds the dignity and prestige of his office (73%), and his authority in the eyes of citizens (69%).

The aspect that was rated least favorably by Czechs was Petr Pavel's influence on domestic politics, which was rated negatively by 32% of respondents.

Respondents with higher education, younger age groups (15-19 and 20-29 years old), and those who voted for him in the second round of the presidential election in January 2023 were more likely to view Petr Pavel's performance in office favorably.
