Czech Public about United States Presidential Election - December 2016
In its regular December survey the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on the topic of the US presidential election. Interest in the US presidential election showed more than two-fifths (45 %) of the Czech public, almost three fifths (55 %) do not care about this topic. 22 % of Czechs were satisfied with its outcome, 37 % expressed an indifferent position that they are "neither satisfied nor dissatisfied" and 22 % said out their dissatisfaction with Donald Trump's victory. >> Full text is available in Czech only <<
Attitude of Czech Public to Accepting of Refugees in December 2016
In December 2016 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions connected to accepting refugees from countries affected by military conflicts. Questions focused mainly on opinion towards accepting refugees from concrete regions (Ukraine, Middle East and North Africa), concern with the current situation around refugees and perception of the situation as a security threat. In September 2016 the CVVM regular survey focused on questions about opinions on reasons for joining political parties. Czechs should also evaluate, whether particular reasons are right or wrong when somebody wants to participate on public life.
