Opinions on Undemocratic Alternatives of Political System - October 2014

17 % of Czech citizens would agree with return to the communist way of government, 15 % would approve authoritarian regime of strong leader with no parliament and with no elections, while three quarters of public disagree. Only 3% of Czechs think that the country should be governed by military, 93% dismissed such an idea.

Twenty-five years after the Velvet Revolution by the citizens of the Czech Republic and Slovakia

This year, it will be twenty-five years since the Velvet Revolution. On the occasion of this anniversary, Public Opinion Research Centre and Institute for Public Affairs in Bratislava in cooperation with Focus agency investigated public opinion regarding the Velvet Revolution, changes in the political and economic system in general and in different areas of life. Evaluation of Some Social Conditions - October 2014

In October 2014 Public Opinion Research Centre's survey investigated views of Czech citizens on some social conditions. From all specific social conditions included in the survey people evaluate mostly positively only the accessibility of education (79% positively, 16% critically) and the health care (72% : 27%).
