Beer in Czech society in 2014

In September 2014 CVVM SOÚ AV ČR replicated some of the questions about beer, which constitute a part of research project Pubs and Beer in Czech Society that is under way since 2004. This press release maps basic trends about the share of consumers among Czech citizens and about both amount and frequency of beer consumption from 2004 to 2014. The status of non-alcoholic beer as well as attitudes towards the fact of the highest beer per capita consumption in the Czech Republic are mentioned.

Public on Special Schools - September 2014

In September 2014 the Public Opinion Research Centre examined views of the Czech public on the creation of special schools in compulsory nine-year basic education and views on whether the children with physical or mental disabilities, children from poor or vice versa from wealthy families, children of foreign nationals, Roma children and gifted children should be educated in mainstream classes.

Public Opinion on the Rights of Homosexuals - June 2014

In June 2014, CVVM survey posed a question regarding the social acceptance of homosexuality. Other questions examined public opinion on particular rights of gays and lesbians such as the right for registered partnership, the right to get married and the right for children adoption.

Public Opinion on HIV/AIDS Issue – June 2014

In June within the regular survey the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on the HIV/AIDS issue. The majority (83%) of the Czech Republic population representatives state that they are not afraid of HIV/AIDS infection but 73% of them perceive the disease as a current problem. Fifty five percent of them believe the relevant institutions are engaged in HIV/AIDS issues adequately.
