Beer in Czech society in 2013

In September 2013 CVVM SOÚ AV ČR replicated some of the questions about beer, which constitute a part of research project Pubs and Beer in Czech Society that is under way since 2004. This press release maps basic trends about the share of consumers among Czech citizens and about both amount and frequency of beer consumption from 2004 to 2013. The status of non-alcoholic beer as well as some social aspects of beer drinking patterns is mentioned.

Czech citizens' relationship to the Czech republic

In October survey CVVM focused on the subject of Czech citizens' relationship to the Czech republic. 39 % of respondents said that they are proud of czech citizenship. On the contrary 14 % are ashamed of czech citizenship and 42 % czech citizens are niether proud nor ashamed.

In the September survey Public Opinion Research Centre of the Institute of Sociology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic posed to all respondents a question: "How satisfied are you with your life? Citizen's Views on Drugs - May 2013

The survey of May touched briefly the issue of drugs in the Czech Republic. People were asked whether and how much they perceive the current situation regarding drug use to be a problem in the Czech Republic as a country, and specifically in their place of residence. Furthermore, the survey investigated whether institutions in the Czech Republic deal with the drug problem adequately, and some issues regarding addicted persons and their treatment.

Public opinion on the issue of HIV/AIDS - May 2013

Public attitudes to HIV/AIDS were the topic of the May survey. Majority of Czechs (80 %) are not afraid of HIV infection, but 74 % percent of them believe that AIDS currently poses problem for the Czech Republic. Sixty two percent believe that the relevant institutions engage in AIDS issues adequately.

Attitudes towards Environment Protection and its Funding - May 2013

In its May's survey, CVVM examined attitudes of the Czech public to various environmental questions. Within this larger bloc, two batteries of questions were included, one concerning the willingness to do something for environment protection, the other one asking about the performance of selected activities of environment protection. A special question focused on the issue of funding of environment protection.
