Evaluation of Andrej Babis' Cabinet - February 2020

In February survey, the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on evaluation of Andrej Babis' government.

42% of Czechs are satisfied with the person of Prime Minister, 52% are dissatisfied, 44% are satisfied with government's performance and 51% are not.
Government's program 48% of Czechs evaluate positively, 37% hold the opposite stance.

Communication with public is seen positively by 47% of Czechs, 46% evaluate it negatively.

Personal composition of Babis' government (36% satisfied / 56% dissatisfied) is area in which we found the most critical evaluation of public.

Citizens on Constitutional Competencies of a President - January 2020

January survey made an inquiry into attitudes of citizens towards constitutional competencies of a president. Questions in the survey concerned the range of presidential competencies in general and also with regard to several particular competencies such as granting of amnesty or stopping a lawsuit, dismissing the Chamber of Deputies and refusing the law passed by the parliament.

Attitudes of Citizens to the Presidential Office – January 2020

January survey of CVVM asked questions regarding the attitudes towards the office of president of the Czech Republic. Questions focused on the mechanism of presidential election, president's relation to the government and government appointment, on the position of president in the foreign policy and on the problems president should pay attention in his or her office.

Public Opinion on Performance of President Miloš Zeman - January 2020

In its regular survey in January 2020 the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on questions about the Miloš Zeman's presidency. Most Czechs think that president Zeman is in contact with people and knows their problems (59%) and fulfills his constitutional functions (55%).

In January 2020 the Public Opinion Research Centre of the Institute of Sociology the Czech Academy of Sciences investigated whether respondents trust to selected politicians. They were given a list with 20 names of top politicians who represent political parties present in the Chamber of Deputies.

Confidence in some institutions - October and November 2019

In October and November 2019 within the regular survey, the Public Opinion Research Centre (CVVM) questioned respondents about their confidence in some institutions including the Ombudsman, the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Audit Office, the Czech National Bank, the Office for Personal Data Protection, the Czech Academy of Sciences, public universities, the Supreme State Prosecutor, the Security information service (BIS), and the National Office for Information and Cyber Security (NÚKIB).
