In December 2016 Public Opinion Resear Centre carried out a survey about the development of situation in selected areas of public life during the year 2016.

In December 2016 Public Opinion Research Centre included a blok of questions connected to health care. Questions focused mainly on satisfaction with health care in the Czech Republic, evaluation of the quality of the health care in the last year and the emounth of information provided by the doctors. Respondents evaluated their own health condition and possibilities to decide the ways of their medical treatment.

In December 2016 the Public Opinion Research Centre included into its regular survey a few questions concerning so-called Islamic State.

In December survey of the Public Opinion Research Center respondents were asked questions on the assessment of the security situation around their residence in the Czech Republic and Europe.

In its regular December survey the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on the topic of the US presidential election. Interest in the US presidential election showed more than two-fifths (45 %) of the Czech public, almost three fifths (55 %) do not care about this topic. 22 % of Czechs were satisfied with its outcome, 37 % expressed an indifferent position that they are "neither satisfied nor dissatisfied" and 22 % said out their dissatisfaction with Donald Trump's victory. >> Full text is available in Czech only <<

According to the December survey of CVVM, 37% of people evaluate the current economic situation in the Czech Republic as good, 34% view it as neither good nor bad, and 27% consider it to be bad. 51% of Czechs evaluate the living standard of their household as good, 14% consider it to be bad, and 35% characterize it as neither good, nor bad.

In December 2016 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions connected to accepting refugees from countries affected by military conflicts. Questions focused mainly on opinion towards accepting refugees from concrete regions (Ukraine, Middle East and North Africa), concern with the current situation around refugees and perception of the situation as a security threat. According to November 2016 survey of the Public Opinion Research Centre 13% of citizens regard taxation on high-income earners as high, 27% say it is adequate and 50% think it is low.
