The role of taste and price in beer choice and attitudes to Czech primacy in beer consumption in 2016
In September 2016 CVVM SOÚ AV ČR replicated some of the questions about beer, which constitute a part of research project Pubs and Beer in Czech Society that is under way since 2004. This press release maps basic results of questions about importance of taste, price and promotion in beer choice and also describes attitudes of the public to the Czech world primacy in beer consumption.
Beer in Czech society in 2016
In September 2016 CVVM SOÚ AV ČR replicated some of the questions about beer, which constitute a part of research project Pubs and Beer in Czech Society that is under way since 2004. This press release maps basic trends about the share of consumers among Czech citizens and about both amount and frequency of beer consumption from 2004 to 2016. The status of non-alcoholic beer is mentioned as well.
Attitude of Czech Public to Accepting of Refugees in October 2016
In October 2016 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions connected to accepting refugees from countries affected by military conflicts. Questions focused mainly on opinion towards accepting refugees from concrete regions (Ukraine, Middle East and North Africa), concern with the current situation around refugees and perception of the situation as a security threat. Popularity of Top Politicians - October 2016
In October 2016 the Public Opinion Researcch Centre investigated whether respondents trust to selected top politicians. They were given a list with 31 names of top politicians. In a survey there were included names of membres of government, president, chairmen of Senate and Chamber of Deputies, chairmen of parliamentary clubs of political parties in the Chamber of Deputies, chairman of Constitutional Court, the governor of the Czech National Bank, ombudsman, and the Primate of Bohemia (Archbishop of Prague).

In October survey the Public Opinion Research Centre examined how Czech citizens see the financial situation of their households. They evaluated whether it is difficult to make ends meet with their earnings, but also talked about attitudinal feeling of poverty.

Confidence in constitutional institutions and satisfaction with political situation in October 2016
In October 2016 within the regular survey CVVM SOÚ AV ČR, v.v.i., questioned respondents about their confidence in constitutional institutions. In this month there was a question about their trust to the Chambers of Parliament, the President, the Government, and Local and Regional Councils.
Czech public about United States presidential election - October 2016
In its regular October survey the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on the topic of the US presidential election. Interest in the US presidential election show more than two-fifths (42%) of the Czech public, almost three fifths (57%) do not care about this topic. According to more than two fifths of Czech citizens (43%) should Hillary Clinton become the next president of the United States, 13% of the Czech citiziens prefers Donald Trump.
