The New Coronavirus - Vaccination against COVID-19 and Testing for COVID-19 - November/December 2021

In November Public Opinion Research Centre focused on vaccination against COVID-19. More than a tenth of respondents (12%) expressed willingness to be vaccinated against COVID-19. More than a fifth (21%) of respondents took a negative attitude towards vaccination against COVID-19 and almost two-thirds (63%) has already received at least the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination. Almost four-fifths of the Czech public (79%) believed that testing for COVID-19 should continue for all citizens covered by health insurance.

The New Coronavirus - Interest, Concerns and Expectation - November/December 2021

In its research, the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on the coronavirus crisis and citizens' experiences with it. In the second half of November and the first half of December, more than two-thirds (69%) of Czech citizens over the age of 15 were interested in the situation regarding the new coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

In connection with the spread of the new type of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, approximately four-fifths of Czech citizens over the age of 15 are concerned about health care restrictions outside COVID-19 (80%) and the health of their loved ones (79%).

The New Coronavirus - Interest, Expectation and Vaccination - July 2021

In its research, the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on the coronavirus crisis and citizens' experiences with it. In July almost three-quarters (74%) of Czech citizens over the age of 15 were interested in the situation regarding the new coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
Approximately one-fifth of respondents (22%) expressed willingness to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Less than a quarter (24 %) of respondents took a negative attitude towards vaccination against COVID-19 and a half (50%) has already received at least the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination.
About two-thirds (66%) of Czech citizens consider what the Czech state has done against the spread of coronavirus as appropriate.

In June 2021 Public Opinion Research Centre included a blok of questions connected to health care. One of the discussed topics was also health care measures in the Czech Republic. Questions focused mainly on charges for medication, doctor visit and stay in hospital. Next issue was connected to insurance and insurance company.

Public Opinion on Health Care System - June 2021

In June 2021 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions related to health care system in its regular survey. Citizens were asked about their overall satisfaction with health care system in the Czech Republic as well as their views on the various problematic areas of healthcare, such as the financing of public health, management of drugs and functioning of insurance companies.

Czech Public about Testing for COVID-19 and Vaccination against COVID-19 - June 2021

In June Public Opinion Research Centre focused on vaccination against COVID-19. Approximately one-third of respondents (35%) expressed willingness to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Almost a quarter (23 %) of respondents took a negative attitude towards vaccination against COVID-19. More than a third (35 %) has already received at least the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination.

Czech Citizens about Health Care in the Czech Republic – June 2021

In June 2021 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions connected to health care. Questions focused mainly on satisfaction with health care in the Czech Republic, evaluation of the quality of the health care in the last year and the amount of information provided by the doctors. Respondents evaluated their own health condition and possibilities to decide the ways of their medical treatment. The last comparable research on this topic was conducted in December 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic, which should be kept in mind when comparing results over time.

In its research, the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on the coronavirus crisis and citizens' experiences with it. In June, more than three-quarters (77%) of Czech citizens over the age of 15 were interested in the situation regarding the new coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

In connection with the spread of the new type of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, approximately three-quarters of Czech citizens concerned about the health of their loved ones (74%) and deteriorating economic situation in the Czech Republic (73%).

In connection with the spread of the new type of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, approximately four-fifths of Czech citizens over the age of 18 are concerned about the health of their loved ones (81%), health care restrictions outside COVID-19 (80%), almost three-fifths of insufficient hospital capacity ( 57%), about half of their health (52%) and slightly more than a fifth of the collapse of supply (21%).

In April Public Opinion Research Centre focused on vaccination against COVID-19. Approximately three-fifths of respondents (59%) expressed willingness to be vaccinated against COVID-19. About a quarter (26 %) of respondents took a negative attitude towards vaccination against COVID-19. One tenth (10 %) stated they were already vaccinated.
