Satisfaction with Areas of Social Policy, Health Care System and System of Education

In June 2011, CVVM included to the survey a question about satisfaction with some areas in the Czech Republic. Citizens also responded to the question whether the evaluated areas need the reforms. CVVM also investigated to what extent the Czechs know planned reforms.

Citizens on Adoption of Euro - June 2011

According to the June survey of Public Opinion Research Centre, only 21% of Czech citizens approve the adoption of euro as legal tender in the Czech Republic, 68% oppose it. Since April 2010 a support for adoption of euro fell by 17%, while share of disapproval increased by 13%.

Satisfaction with the situation in areas of public life

In January this year, citizens of the Czech Republic evaluated how satisfied they are with the situation in selected areas of public life.Citizens of the Czech Republic are the most satisfied with the offer of goods and services (72 % satisfied), culture (62 %) and environment (48 %). Czechs are dissatisfied with the corruption (84 % dissatisfied), economic crime (78 %) and the political situation (74 %).

Trust in European Union Institutions

In April 2011 Public Opinion Research Centre investigated trust in the European Union, the European Commission, the European Parliament, the President of the European Council and the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. Another two questions deal with the issue, whether Czechs believe, that decisions of the EU are in behalf of the Czech Republic and ordinary people (like themselves).

Public Opinion on Membership of the Czech Republic in European Union

In April 2011 CVVM probed, how Czech citizens evaluate membership of the Czech Republic in European Union. Besides satisfaction with membership, Czechs also talked about measure of their pride in context of being citizens of European Union. Then Czechs evaluated helpfulness and harmfulness of European integration in these areas - economy, politics, culture, country defence and ecology. On one hand, most of Czechs supposed that European integration is useful in area of defence (72 %) and ecology (70 %).

In June survey CVVM investigated how people trust to political Parties and whether they are willing to take part in elections to Chamber of Deputies. In the press release there are two different types of information: Party preference and a model of voting behaviour.

Party preferences give us information about public sympathy with political Parties in the group of citizens who have voting right and there is also included a part of citizens who will not take part in elections or they do not knot who to vote for.
