In March, the survey of CVVM was paid to influence on political decision making. Furthermore CVVM searched what criteria should be established for morality of politician.

Czech citizens are critical when talking about political culture of most of politically active people. The exception are members of Municipal Councils and members of Regional Councils. In those cases prevails positively evaluation (60/30 % Municipal and 41/38 % Regional Councils). The worst evaluation got political culture of members of Chamber of Deputy (17/81 %).

According to major part of czech citizens (79 %) arguments, problems and scandals are common and occur in other democracies, although major part of addressed respondents (77 %) expressed their opinion that these argumentations and scandals discredit us abroad.

As a part of March CVVM survey there was a question investigating citizens' trust to Courts, Police, Army, Media, Labour Unions, Churches, Banks and NGOs. The press information covers also a longterm development of trust to these public institutions.

According to the March survey of the Public Opinion Research Centre, 53% of Czech citizens are interested in current events in the Middle East and Northern Africa. One third (33%) of Czech public thinks that international community should participate more actively in solving of current situation in Arab countries where people rose up in protest against authoritarian regimes, a half (51%) of Czechs opposes the idea of external meddling into current events there.

In March 2011 within the regular survey CVVM SOÚ AV ČR, v.v.i., questioned respondents about their confidence in constitutional institutions. In this month there was a question about their trust to Chambers of Parliament, Government, President, Local and Regional Councils.

In February 2011, in the research project Our Society there were included questions focused on opinion of Czechs about the reasons for entering public life and politicians' interest in opinion of ordinary citizens.

In March 2011 within the regular survey CVVM SOÚ AV ČR, v.v.i., questioned respondents about their confidence in constitutional institutions. In this month there was a question about their trust to Chambers of Parliament, Government, President, Local and Regional Councils.

In March survey CVVM investigated how people trust to political Parties and whether they are willing to take part in elections to Chamber of Deputies. In the press release there are two different types of information: Party preference and a model of voting behaviour.

Party preferences give us information about public sympathy with political Parties in the group of citizens who have voting right and there is also included a part of citizens who will not take part in elections or they do not knot who to vote for.

In february 2011 CVVM investigated how people evaluate their possibilities to influence political decision-making and public affairs.

In February, the Public Opinion Research Centre examined views on the involvement of citizens in decision-making processes. 80 % of Czechs supported a referendum on important societal issues. People would like to make decisions primarily on important local issues. This view is supported by 85% of citizens. On the other hand, decisions on important laws and international treaties should do politicians.
