In April, the Center for Public Opinion Research focused on satisfaction with life in the locality in general and selected living conditions in the vicinity of residence.

In April 2010 Public Opinion Research Centre investigated trust in the European Union, the European Commission, the European Parliament, the President of the European Council and the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. Other two questions deal with the issue, whether Czechs believe, that decisions of the EU are in behalf of the Czech Republic and ordinary people (like themselves).

In April 2010 CVVM investigated, whether, according to Czech citizens, values such as democracy, equality, cooperation, toleration, justice and solidarity are applied in the European Union. The largest proportion of Czechs answered on this subject positively in connection with democracy and cooperation (75 % and 63 %) and by contrast equality obtained least agreeing answers (37 %). Besides this, Czechs evaluated helpfulness and harmfulness of European integration in these areas - economy, politics, culture, country defence and ecology.

In March 2010 Public Opinion Research Centre focused on social distance among the major population and different social groups. Social distance was measured by a specific question: people should pick from a list of 15 different groups those, which they would not like to have as neighbours. The biggest distance was noticed towards drug addicts (86 % of Czechs would not want them to be their neighbours), people addicted to alcohol (79%), people with criminal past (75%) and also people with mental disease (60%).

In March 2010 CVVM investigated attitudes of Czech public to 15 national groups that are living in the Czech Republic in significant number. The most positive relation was observed to Slovaks, Polish people, Greeks and Jews, the worst relation have Czechs to Roma people.

In May survey CVVM investigated how people trust to political Parties and whether they are willing to take part in elections to Chamber of Deputies. In the press release there are two different types of information: Party preference and a model of voting behaviour.

Party preferences give us information about public sympathy with political Parties in the group of citizens who have voting right and there is also included a part of citizens who will not take part in elections or they do not knot who to vote for.

April survey of CVVM focused on public attitude and public relationships between Czech population and Romany minority. Survey showed that more than four fiths of Czech citizens (82 %) see living together of Romany and non-Romany population as problematic.

In February 2010 Public Opinion Research Centre studied trust of the Czech population in the selected international organizations - the European Union, NATO and the United Nations. Another question was focused on satisfaction with membership in these institutions.

In February 2010, in the research project Our Society there were included questions focused on opinion of Czech people about the reasons for entering public life and politicians' interest in opinion of ordinary citizens.
