Tolerance to Different Social Groups
In March 2010 Public Opinion Research Centre focused on social distance among the major population and different social groups. Social distance was measured by a specific question: people should pick from a list of 15 different groups those, which they would not like to have as neighbours. The biggest distance was noticed towards drug addicts (86 % of Czechs would not want them to be their neighbours), people addicted to alcohol (79%), people with criminal past (75%) and also people with mental disease (60%).
Relation to Different National Groups Living in the Czech Republic
In March 2010 CVVM investigated attitudes of Czech public to 15 national groups that are living in the Czech Republic in significant number. The most positive relation was observed to Slovaks, Polish people, Greeks and Jews, the worst relation have Czechs to Roma people.

Czech Republic's membership in the European Union
One of the topics included in the April survey of the Center for Public Opinion Research, was the European Union. Specifically the satisfaction of citizens with the membership, whether the membership is seen as a good thing for the CR, sense of civic pride and a sense of belonging to the EU. The survey studied also the development of living standards in the context of EU accession and views on adopting the euro as the currency of the Czech Republic.
