As a part of February survey there were some questions focused on interest of Czech citizens in political events in the country as well in the world and involvement of Czech citizens in political and public life.

In January 2010 Public Opinion Research Centre carried out a survey about debts and loans. In this press release are published attitudes of Czech citizens to debts of common people on one hand and opinion about the Czech Republic public debt on the other hand.

In January 2010 Public Opinion Research Centre carried out a survey about debts and loans. In this press release are published attitudes of Czech citizens to individual debts, e.g. acceptability of loans for real estate, education, consumption, car, holidays or for starting a business. Another question was focused on importance of financial resources for unexpected expenses. Along with attitudes there were also questions concerning the indebtedness of households, in other words behaviour of population.

In January and February this year, respondents of the Center for Public Opinion Research evaluated the state of some areas of public life.

According to January survey 69 % of Czechs see existence of Nato as necessary today, 19 % think that Nato is useless.

In January survey CVVM SOÚ AV ČR investigated public attitude to membership of the Czech Republic in NATO and to some aspects concerning this membership as well as national defense in general.

In December 2009 CVVM investigated, how Czech citizens evaluate material living conditions of their households and economic situation in our country. Survey on this theme was also carried out in Poland, Hungary and Slovakia.

Confidence in constitutional institutions and satisfaction with political situation in February 2010

In February 2010 within the regular survey CVVM SOÚ AV ČR, v.v.i., questioned respondents about their confidence in constitutional institutions. In this month there was a question about their trust to Chambers of Parliament, Government, President, Local and Regional Councils.

As a part of the CVVM surveys there is a question about public satisfaction with current political situation in the Czech Republic.

The current economic level of the Czech Republic is seen rather negative (64 %) than positive (34 %). In comparison to other nine countries included in the survey, the Czech Republic took the sixth place behind Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Slovakia and Poland. Compared to the previous survey from January 2009 the evaluation of the economic level of the Czech Republic as well as of most of other countries included in the survey has got significantky worse.

In February survey CVVM investigated how people trust to political Parties and whether they are willing to take part in elections to Chamber of Deputies. In the press release there are two different types of information : Party preference and a model of voting behaviour.

Party preferences give us information about public sympathy with political Parties in the group of citizens who have voting right and there is also included a part of citizens who will not take part in elections or they do not knot who to vote for.
