Czech Public on Global Environmental Problems - July 2021

In July within the regular research, the Centre for Public Opinion Research focused on the environment. Representatives of the Czech population answered questions on particular environmental phenomena in the sense of their problematic character. As the most serious problems were stated the garbage cumulation (for 65% “very serious" problem) and the ocean pollution (for 60% "very serious" problem).

Confidence in some institutions - July 2021

In July 2021 within the regular survey, the Public Opinion Research Centre (CVVM) questioned respondents about their confidence in some institutions including the Ombudsman, the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Audit Office, the Supreme State Prosecutor, the Security information service (BIS), and the National Office for Information and Cyber Security (NÚKIB).

Czech Republic’s Membership in the European Union in the Public View – July 2021

The press release presents some results of the July 2021 survey, which focused on Czech public opinion on EU membership. More than a third (34%) of Czech citizens are satisfied with our country's EU membership, almost two-fifths (38 %) are neither satisfied nor unsatisfied and a quarter is unsatisfied.
Respondents were also asked about their views on economic, political, cultural, defense, and ecological integration in the European Union.

The New Coronavirus - Interest, Expectation and Vaccination - July 2021

In its research, the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on the coronavirus crisis and citizens' experiences with it. In July almost three-quarters (74%) of Czech citizens over the age of 15 were interested in the situation regarding the new coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
Approximately one-fifth of respondents (22%) expressed willingness to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Less than a quarter (24 %) of respondents took a negative attitude towards vaccination against COVID-19 and a half (50%) has already received at least the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination.
About two-thirds (66%) of Czech citizens consider what the Czech state has done against the spread of coronavirus as appropriate.

Citizens on Economic Situation of the Czech Republic and Living Standard of Their Households - July 2021

According to the July 2021 survey of CVVM, 21% of people evaluate the current economic situation in the Czech Republic as good, 40% view it as neither good nor bad, and 38% consider it to be bad.

In July 2021 of this year, respondents of the Public Opinion Research Centre evaluated the urgency of solving in some areas of public life. The most urgent problems are supposed to be public finance, health care, and COVID-19.

Attitudes of the Czech Public to Climate Change on Earth – July 2021

In July survey CVVM dealt with a long-discussed topic, which is climate change on Earth. We were interested in what the Czech public thinks about this topic.

More than half (52%) of respondents are interested in climate change.

According to the vast majority (84%) of the Czech public, climate change has occurred on Earth in the last 100 years.

Less than three-fifths (59%) of respondents are to some extent concerned about the effects of climate Change, while 37% of respondents are not concerned.

Trust in European and international institutions – July 2020

In July 2020 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions connected to confidence in European Union and international institutions. Questions focused mainly on trust in European Union in general and its concrete authorities. In connection to international institutions respondents evaluated their trust in United Nations and North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.

Attitudes and Activities of Czech Society Regarding the Environment – July 2021

In July 2021, the Centre for Public Opinion Research asked questions regarding the environment. In the first question, respondents assessed how they think the Czech Republic cares about environmental protection. The second question identified an interest of respondents in information related to environmentally friendly behaviour. The third question gave the respondents space to express a subjective feeling of awareness of environmentally friendly behavior and the fourth question mapped the respondents' own household practices in the context of the environment.

Evaluation of environment in the Czech Republic – July 2021

In July CVVM survey was focused on environmental issues. Respondents were asked about how satisfied or dissatisfied they are with the state of environment in the Czech Republic and in their place of residence. Next citizens rated the size of their satisfaction with concrete areas of environment in their residence such as cleanness of air, surrounding nature and surface water. Respondents also evaluated traffic density, level of noise and the quality of drinking water.

We also examined whether people are interested about information about the state of the environment and whether they have sufficient information on the state of the environment.

Public Views on Fees and Some Other Measures in Healthcare - June 2021

In June 2021 Public Opinion Research Centre included a blok of questions connected to health care. One of the discussed topics was also health care measures in the Czech Republic. Questions focused mainly on charges for medication, doctor visit and stay in hospital. Next issue was connected to insurance and insurance company.
