The May survey of the Public Opinion Research Centre was focused on addictive substances. Respondents were given to assess the acceptability of consumption of selected substances and their health risk.

In May 2013, Centre for Public Opinion Research asked questions about environment and its protection. Czech citizens evaluated activity of Czech Republic in this area and also activities of some state institutions and ecological organizations in these questions. Specifically, we were interested in opinions of Czech public on activity of Government, Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic, Parliament, Regional Offices, Municipal Offices.

According to May 2013 survey of CVVM people are more satisfied with state of environment at their place of residence (70%) than in Czech republic in general (57%).

In May 2013 the Public Opinion Research Centre within the broader thematic area of the environment enquired some questions related to the consumption and production of electrical energy and nuclear energy.

In May 2013 survey we enquired a question in which respondents on a scale corresponding to school grades evaluated activity of individual ministries and the Government Office over the past twelve months.

In May 2013, CVVM survey posed a question regarding the social acceptance of homosexuality. Other questions examined public opinion on particular rights of gays and lesbians such as the right for registered partnership, the right to get married and the right for children adoption.

According to the May survey of CVVM, 67% of people evaluate the current economic situation in the Czech Republic as bad, 26% view it as neither good nor bad and 6% consider it to be good.

The April survey of Public Opinion Research Centre focused on the theme of social order and social cohesion of the Czech society.

In its May's survey, the Public Opinion Research Centre examined attitudes of Czech citizens towards the death penalty. On the one hand, questions in the survey concerned the general view, whether the death penalty should exist in the Czech Republic, or not, on the other hand, they probed, in what extent people agree, or disagree, with different particular statements about the death penalty. 62 % of respondents hold the view the death penalty should exist in the Czech Republic.

In May survey CVVM investigated how people trust to political Parties and whether they are willing to take part in elections to Chamber of Deputies. In the press release there are two different types of information: Party preference and a model of voting behaviour.
Party preferences give us information about public sympathy with political Parties in the group of citizens who have voting right and there is also included a part of citizens who will not take part in  
elections or they do not knot who to vote for.
