Confidence in constitutional institutions and satisfaction with political situation in January 2013

In January 2013 within the regular survey CVVM SOÚ AV ČR, v.v.i., questioned respondents about their confidence in constitutional institutions. In this month there was a question about their trust to Chambers of Parliament, Government, President, Local and Regional Councils.

Citizens on Economic Situation of the Czech Republic and Living Standard of Their Households - January 2013

According to the January survey of CVVM, 69% of people evaluate the current economic situation in the Czech Republic as bad, 25% view it as neither good nor bad and 5% consider it to be good.

In the December survey Public Opinion Research Centre of the Institute of Sociology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic posed to all respondents a question: "How satisfied are you with your life? Czechs and Pension Savings - December 2012

December’s survey of CVVM comprised a bloc of questions concerning public opinion on the pension system in the Czech Republic and its possible change. We asked a selected part of our respondents that are not yet retired, whether they use any form of savings or investments to put money aside for their retirement, whether they fear they might not be sufficiently secured when retired, and what are their expectations regarding the sufficiency of pensions paid by the state. 81 % of respondents assume that the state pension will not provide them with sufficient financial resources. On the other hand, only 56 % of people have their independent savings or investment plan to secure them for the retirement.

Czech Public on Health Care - December 2012

Popularity of Top Politicians

In December 2012 CVVM SOÚ AV ČR investigated whether respondents trust to selected top politicians. They were given a list with 24 names of top politicians. In a survey there were included names of membres of Parliament,  president, chairmen of Senate and Chamber of Deputies, leaders of political parties in Parliament and chief of Constitutional Court.

How the government and citizens take care about the social situation and selected areas of social policy - November 2012

In the November investigation the Centre for Public Opinion Research included issues related to social policy. Citizens commented on the fact how much the government cares about the social situation of citizens and how citizens care about their own social situation. Furthermore, financial support of selected areas of social policy were evaluated. One question also measured public opinion about how frequently are social benefits misused by people who are granted.
