Czechs about membership of Czech Republic in European Union
In April 2008 CVVM probed, how Czech citizens evaluate membership of Czech Republic in European Union. Besides satisfaction with membership Czechs also talked about measure of their pride in fact that they are citizens of European Union. Last but not least we focused on opinions concerning advantages and disadvantages that membership in this institution produces.

Citizens about the presidency to the European Union
In March survey the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on topic of the presidency of the European Union. The Czech Republic will assume the presidency of the EU on 1 January 2009. The respondents were asked if they are interested in this topic or if they have a lot of informations about the presidency. The survey also investigated citizens´ evaluation of the Czech Republic’s preparations for the presidency.
Public opinion on fears of imprisonment
In march 2008 CVVM posed a few questions on potential fears of imprisonment. Informants were asked to estimate how much money they would be willing to pay to avoid being imprisoned for one year due to an accident (all in a case that this would be legal). Over 70 % says that they would be willing to pay up to 100 000,- Kc or even less (approximately 4 000 Euro). Only 20 % of informants were willing to pay more than 100 000 Kc.
Public about polls
In March survey the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on topic public opinion polls. The respondents were asked if they are interested in polls results or if they have ever changed their opinion because of a poll. The survey also investigated citizens´ opinion on issues and correctness of the polls.
Political culture
In March 2007 CVVM focused on political culture in Czech Republic. According to major part of czech citizens arguments, problems and scandals are common and occur in other democracies, although major part of addressed respondents expressed their opinion that these argumentations and scandals discredit us abroad. Almost all respondents agreed that there is need to inform public about the problems, argumentations and scandals, because czech politicians need to be under control of public.
Czechs and toleration
In March survey CVVM focused on problems of life together of Czechs. Respondents were given a list which contained 14 different groups of people and they had to say, whether they would not want these people as neighbours. Most Czech citizens do not want to live near by drug addict (89 %), alcoholics (83 %) and persons with criminal pastness (78 %). Then we probed how Czech society is according to obtained opinions tolerant to selected groups of people.
Czech Public's Attitudes to Foreigners
In March survey CVVM investigated Czech public's views with regard to foreigners who live in the long term or permanently in Czech Republic. 80 % of Czechs think that incomers should have had the right to stay here in the long term under some conditions, 9 % would support this right with no restricting conditions and only 8 % said that foreigners should not have any right to stay in the long term in Czech Republic.

In April 2008 within the regular survey CVVM SOÚ AV ČR, v.v.i., questioned respondents about their confidence in constitutional institutions. In this month there was a question about their trust to Chambers of Parliament, Government, President, Local and Regional Councils.
As a part of the CVVM surveys there is a question about public satisfaction with current political situation in the Czech Republic.
Party Preferences and Voting Model in April 2008
In April survey CVVM investigated how people trust to political Parties and whether they are willing to take part in elections to Chamber of Deputies. In the press release there are two different types of information : Party preference and a model of voting behaviour.
Party preferences give us information about public sympathy with political Parties in the group of citizens who have voting right and there is also included a part of citizens who will not take part in elections or they do not knot who to vote for.

Relation to Different National Groups Living in the Czech Republic
March survey of CVVM investigated attitudes of Czech public to some national groups that are living in the Czech Republic in significant number.
