Housing policy belongs to areas, what most respondents are not satisfied with and this area need principle reform according to most of respondents. More than a half or respondents do not consider existence of two costs of rentals (legal regulated rent and open market rent) as right thing, this opinion is mostly shared by house owners, respondents without their own house or flat and people who pay open market rent.

Two thirds of respondents are dissatisfied with current state of czech health service.Financing of czech health service, drug management,running of insurance companies are supposed to be the main problems of czech health service. People perceive the problems in different areas of health service according to their own standart of living. More than four fifths of respondents highlighted need for reform of health care system.

Czech public is mostly satisfied with basic and secondary education. Number of respondents, who are not interested in education, raises with their higher age. Most of people do no need any reforms of secondary and basic education. Only 36% of respondents think the new reform is nedeed, while the need of reform did not depend on their age, education or political affiliation. About 50% of students would accept new reforms of basic and secondary education.

Current situation of university education and its reform are the topics of (not only)political discussions. In contrast to disccusions and and various suggestions the new reform has not occured yet.And what czech citizens think about situation of university education? If we summarize information about university education, we can say the following. Though international comparision published by OECD or World Bank show that Czech Republic belongs to countries with the lowest number of university students in adult population and countries with the lowest number of those, who start studying at the age – when peole start studying university, most of respondents think that enough people have chance to study the university.

Popularity of Top Politicians

In March survey CVVM SOÚ AV ČR investigated how respondents trust to selected politicians.(see table 1 and 2).They were a shown a list of names of 26 politicians. (All members of Government,president,chairmen of the Chamber of Deputies and Senate, leaders of Parties represented in Parliament, chief of Constitutional Court and eurocommissioner Špidla). Among our top politicians president Václav Klaus and minister of Culture Vítězslav Jandák are supposed to be the most trustworthy politicians by almost two thirds of respondents (both 64%).

In March 2006 public confidence in constitutional institutions returned to its level from January 2006. It seems that increase of number of those who confided in constitutional institutions in February happened just by chance and it is not the beginning of new trend. The most trustworthy constitutional institution is president who enjoys trust expressed by 68% of respondents. On the other side four out of 10 Czechs (39%) confide in czech government.

All respondents having the right to vote were asked an open question (i.e. without a list of political parties being used) investigating which party they would vote for if an election to the Chamber of Deputies took place the following week. The structure of the answers given is summarised in the table (in %).

Popularity of Top Politicians

Czech citizen's awareness of membership of the Czech Republic in WTO is relatively low. Only one third (32 %) of polled people answered correctly that the Czech Republic is a member of WTO, 4 % gave an incorrect answer and 64 % admitted that they don't know. Opinion of Czech public on WTO's influence in economic development of the Czech Republic is rather positive (21 %) or neutral (27 %) than negative.

In February 2006 public confidence in all constitutional institutions has risen (except confidence in Local Councils) if compared with previous month. The most trustworthy institution remains president of Czech Republic . In February 2006 president enjoys trust expressed by 74% of czech citizens. Position of czech government has become better. Nowadays 44% of Czechs trust to present government. Public trust in both Chambers of czech Parliament has improved as well.
