Beer mixes on the Czech beer market in 2018

In September 2018 CVVM SOÚ AV ČR replicated some of the questions about beer, which constitute a part of research project Pubs and Beer in Czech Society that is under way since 2004. This press release presents the results of questions on drinking beer mixes and on attitudes to beer mixes among Czech people. Both the situation in 2018 and trends since 2012, when beer-mixes noticeably entered Czech market, are presented.

The choice of beer among Czech consumers in 2018

Beer in Czech society in 2018

In September 2018 CVVM SOÚ AV ČR replicated some of the questions about beer, which constitute a part of research project Pubs and Beer in Czech Society that is under way since 2004. Citizens on Economic Situation of Their Households – October 2018

The Public Opinion Research Centre in its October survey examined how Czech citizens perceive the financial situation of their households. They evaluated whether it is difficult to make ends meet with their earnings, but also talked about attitudinal feeling of poverty.

10% of citizens indicated their household to be rich, whilst 22% considered it to be poor. 67% of respondents regard their household as neither rich nor poor. Problems with current budget of their household were stated by 43% of respondents, on the other hand 54% said they have no problems with budget of the household.

Attitude of Czech Public to Accepting of Refugees - October 2018

In October 2018 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions connected to accepting refugees from countries affected by military conflicts. Questions focused mainly on opinion towards accepting refugees from concrete regions (Ukraine, Middle East and North Africa), concern with the current situation around refugees and perception of the situation as a security threat.

Confidence in constitutional institutions and satisfaction with political situation in October 2018

In October 2018 within the regular survey CVVM SOÚ AV ČR, v.v.i., questioned respondents about their confidence in constitutional institutions. In this month there was a question about their trust to the Chambers of Parliament, the President, the Government, and Local and Regional Councils.

Likely voter model in October 2018

In a survey conducted by Public Opinion Research Centre in October 2018, we investigated how people trust to political Parties and whether they are willing to take part in elections to the Chamber of Deputies. In the press release there are two different types of information: the likely voter model and the party preferences.

The likely voter model indicates anticipated result of hypothetical elections to the Chamber of Deputies in the time of conducting the survey.

The party preferences give us information about public sympathy for political parties in the group of citizens who have voting right and there is also included a part of citizens who will not take part in elections or they do not know who to vote for.

According to the September survey of CVVM, 49% of people evaluate the current economic situation in the Czech Republic as good, 33% view it as neither good nor bad, and 15% consider it to be bad.

Attitudes to smoking ban in restaurants in 2018

In September 2018 CVVM SOÚ AV ČR surveyed questions about the ban of smoking in gastronomical facilities. This press release maps basic results about the attitude to the ban before and after the introduction of the act in June 2017 and also brings the information about arguments, which Czech citizens use for giving reasons to their agreement and disagreement with the introduction of the act.
