The Czech Public on the future of the EU and adopting the euro - April 2018

In April 2018 Public Opinion Research Centre focused on opinion to the level of integration of EU a the role of Czech Republic in this process. We were also interested about Czech public's opinions to the future of the of the united Europe. The part of this survey was also question about adoption of the euro.

Morality of Politicians Viewed by Public Opinion - April 2018

In the April survey CVVM enquired how strictly according to public should be judged morality of politicians and what criteria should be considered in their deliberations. CVVM also focused on attitudes of Czech citizens to disputes, problems and affairs which appear in our political and public life. In this case, respondents were presented with a list of statements with which they expressed their agreement or disagreement.

Confidence in constitutional institutions and satisfaction with political situation in April 2018

In April 2018 within the regular survey CVVM SOÚ AV ČR, v.v.i., questioned respondents about their confidence in constitutional institutions. In this month there was a question about their trust to the Chambers of Parliament, the President, the Government, and Local and Regional Councils.

Citizens on Personalities, Eras, and Events of Czechoslovak History from the Founding of Czechoslovakia to Present Day - March 2018

This year it will be a hundred years from the founding of Czechoslovakia in October 1918. Simultaneously it will be fifty years since the events of so-called Prague Spring 1968, it has just passed the 70th anniversary of February 1948 communist coup, and in September it will be eighty years since the signature of so-called Munich Agreement. In relation to these anniversaries Public Opinion Research Centre conducted a survey focused on these events, their acteurs, and their evaluation by Czech public.

Trust in European and international institutions - April 2018

In April 2018 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions connected to confidence in European Union and international institutions. Questions focused mainly on trust in European Union in general and its concrete authorities. In connection to international institutions respondents evaluated their trust in United Nations and North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.

Opinions on European Integration – April 2018

In the opinion poll carried out in April 2018 by the Public Opinion Research Centre, questions regarding attitudes of Czech citizens towards integration in the EU were included. More specifically, the questionnaire asked surveyors about their opinion on values of democracy, equality, collaboration, tolerance, fairness, and solidarity being successfully exercised in the EU. Furthermore, respondents were asked about their views on economic, political, cultural, defense and ecological integration in the European Union. Lastly, attention was given to the belief that the EU decisions are in the interest of the Czech Republic and of the people like themselves.

Likely voter model in April 2018

In a survey conducted by Public Opinion Research Centre in April 2018, we investigated how people trust to political Parties and whether they are willing to take part in elections to the Chamber of Deputies. In the press release there are two different types of information: the likely voter model and the party preferences.

The likely voter model indicates anticipated result of hypothetical elections to the Chamber of Deputies in the time of conducting the survey.

The party preferences give us information about public sympathy for political parties in the group of citizens who have voting right and there is also included a part of citizens who will not take part in elections or they do not know who to vote for.

The Czech public's views on foreign nationals - March 2018

In March 2018 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions connected to foreigners. Respondents commented on foreigners who live in the Czech Republic and in their place of residence. Research also included set of questions about general attitudes connected to foreigners such as their impact on Czech culture, unemployment, health ricks and economy. Respondents also evaluated whether foreigners are the solution of problem of ageing population in the Czech Republic.

Citizens on Constitutional Competencies of a President - March 2018

March survey made an inquiry into attitudes of citizens towards constitutional competencies of a president. Questions in the survey concerned the range of presidential competencies in general and also with regard to several particular competencies such as granting of amnesty or stopping a lawsuit, dismissing the Chamber of Deputies and refusing the law passed by the parliament.

Attitudes of Citizens to the Presidential Office – March 2018

March survey of CVVM asked questions regarding the attitudes towards the office of president of the Czech Republic. Questions focused on the mechanism of presidential election, president's relation to the government and government appointment, on the position of president in the foreign policy and on the problems president should pay attention in his or her office.
