In its October survey, CVVM focused on the upcoming elections of the President.

In October 2017 within the regular survey CVVM SOÚ AV ČR, v.v.i., questioned respondents about their confidence in constitutional institutions. In this month there was a question about their trust to the Chambers of Parliament, the President, the Government, and Local and Regional Councils.

According to the September survey of CVVM, 40% of people evaluate the current economic situation in the Czech Republic as good, 37% view it as neither good nor bad, and 20% consider it to be bad.

In September, the Public Opinion Research Centre asked a set of questions related to attitudes of the Czech citizens towards Czech political parties. The results suggest that majority of population adopts mainly negative attitudes towards them.

In September, the Public Opinion Research Centre asked a set of questions related to attitudes of the Czech citizens towards last year's amendment of a law about Czech educational system. Simultaneously, the Public Opinion Research Centre probed opinions about standardized secondary school graduation tests and fees for the higher education.

In the opinion poll carried out in September 2017 by the Public Opinion Research Centre, questions regarding the Czech education system were included. More specifically, the questionnaire asked surveyors about their opinions towards the quality of education in different types of schools, and their perception of the possibility to gain education based on one’s abilities. Moreover, the surveyors were asked to evaluate if the education system is able to develop different aspects.

In September 2017 CVVM SOÚ AV ČR investigated whether respondents trust to selected politicians. They were given a list with 26 names of top politicians who represent political parties present in the Chamber of Deputies.

In September survey Public Opinion Research Centre investigated how people trust to political Parties and whether they are willing to take part in October elections to the Chamber of Deputies. In the press release there are two different types of information: Party preference and a model of voting behaviour.

Party preferences give us information about public sympathy with political Parties in the group of citizens who have voting right and there is also included a part of citizens who will not take part in elections or they do not knot who to vote for.

Voting model indicate anticipated result of elections to Chamber of Deputies in the time of the survey. Voting model comes out of Party preferences but it includes only those who want to take part in elections and they answered us a Party they would vote for – in short this group does not include undecided people and non – voters.
