Public Opinion on the Settling of Foreigners in the Czech Republic - March 2016
In March 2016 Public Opinion Research Centre examined as a part of its survey the opinions of the Czech public on long-term or permanently residing foreigners in the Czech Republic. Specifically, there were examined attitudes whether there are too many, appropriate amount, or too few foreigners living in the country, whether foreigners should have the right for the long-term residing in the country and whether the state should allow them to settle here permanently. There were examined the reasons for the acceptance of immigrants, too.

Citizens on Economic Situation of the Czech Republic and Living Standard of Their Households – March 2016
According to the March survey of CVVM, 30% of people evaluate the current economic situation in the Czech Republic as good, 40% view it as neither good nor bad, and 28% consider it to be bad.

In March 2016 Public Opinion Research Centre focused on social distance among the majority population and different social groups. Social distance was measured by a specific question: people should pick from a list of 15 different groups those, which they would not like to have as neighbours.

In March 2016 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions connected to decision making of politicians. Czech public evaluated the level of influence of chosen areas and institutions on decisions of Czech politicians.

In March 2016 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions connected to corruption. Questions focused mainly on the evaluation of corruption extension in the public institutions and between officials. In March 2016 CVVM SOÚ AV ČR investigated whether respondents trust to selected politicians. They were given a list with 29 names of top politicians who represent political parties present in Chamber of Deputies.

Confidence in constitutional institutions and satisfaction with political situation in March 2016
In March 2016 within the regular survey CVVM SOÚ AV ČR, v.v.i., questioned respondents about their confidence in constitutional institutions. In this month there was a question about their trust to the Chambers of Parliament, the President, the Government, and Local and Regional Councils.
Attitude of Czech Public to Accepting of Refugees in February 2016
In February 2016 Public Opinion Research Centre included a blok of questions connected to accepting refugees from countries affected by military conflicts. Questions focused mainly on opinion towards accepting refugees from concrete regions (Ukraine, Middle East and North Africa), concern with the current situation around refugees and perception of the situation as a security threat.
