Czechs and their opinion on quality of school education - September 2012

In September 2012, CVVM carried out an opinion poll on how Czech citizens evaluate the quality of education on all school levels. Part of the press release is also comparison of current results with findings from previous surveys. Then Czechs should have evaluated, which from the following characteristics - knowledge, independence, self-confidence, orientation in society, discipline, moral values, ability to work in a team, communication skills, creativity - are best evolved by particular types of schools.

Public Opinion on the State Secondary School-leaving Examination - September 2012

In September 2012, questions about education were included in the regular research "Our Society". One of the questions was focused on the peoples' interest in the state secondary school-leaving examination, attitude to the idea of state guaranteed examination on secondary schools as a general concept and views on the preparation and conduct of this year's state examination.

Satisfaction with conditions of living at the place of residence - April 2012

In April, the Center for Public Opinion Research focused on satisfaction with life in the locality in general and selected living conditions in the vicinity of residence. 72 % of Czechs are satisfied with living conditions in their place of residence. A fifth said neutral variant. Less than a tenth is not satisfied.

Opinion on the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and its financial subvention

January survey of CVVM included questions referring to the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. Questions concerned trust of people towards this institution, their awareness of its function, their opinion on its usefulness and on quality of the research conducted in the Academy in both national and world-wide context. Question regarding the opinion on financial subvention of the institution from the national budget was part of the survey too. Current data are compared with the data on the same topic collected in the survey in 2009.
