Popularity of Top Politicians
In September 2011 CVVM SOÚ AV ČR investigated whether respondents trust to selected top politicians. They were given a list with 27 names of top politicians. In a survey there were included names of membres of Parliament, president, chairmen of Senate and Chamber of Deputies, leaders of political parties in Parliament and chief of Constitutional Court.
Holiday 2011
In September 2011 CVVM gave to its respondents a series of questions focused on their holiday and spending of holidays in general.
Confidence in constitutional institutions and satisfaction with political situation in September 2011
In September 2011 within the regular survey CVVM SOÚ AV ČR, v.v.i., questioned respondents about their confidence in constitutional institutions. In this month there was a question about their trust to Chambers of Parliament, Government, President, Local and Regional Councils.
Trust To Some Public Institutions - September 2011
As a part of September CVVM survey there was a question investigating citizens' trust to Courts, Police, Army, Media, Labour Unions, Churches, Banks and NGOs. The press information covers also a longterm development of trust to these public institutions.
Citizens on Economic Situation of the Czech Republic and Living Standard of Their Households - September 2011
According to the September survey of CVVM, 62% of people evaluate the current economic situation in the Czech Republic as bad, 26% view it as neither good nor bad and 10% consider it to be good.
Party Preferences and Voting Model in September 2011
In September survey CVVM investigated how people trust to political Parties and whether they are willing to take part in elections to Chamber of Deputies. In the press release there are two different types of information: Party preference and a model of voting behaviour.
Satisfaction with Areas of Social Policy, Health Care System and System of Education
In June 2011, CVVM included to the survey a question about satisfaction with some areas in the Czech Republic. Citizens also responded to the question whether the evaluated areas need the reforms. CVVM also investigated to what extent the Czechs know planned reforms.
Job satisfaction - June 2011
In June CVVM surveyed satisfaction with employment in the Czech Republic.More than a half of Czech employees are satisfied with their jobs. On the other hand 4 out of 10 economically active Czechs are neither satisfied nor dissatisfied with their jobs, job dissatisfaction was expressed only by 5 % of economically active citizens. 75 % of economically active respondents are satisfied with interpersonal relationships at workplace a more than a third Czechs are satisfied with salary.
Public opinion on the issue of HIV/AIDS
In May, the CVVM devoted to HIV/AIDS. Two thirds of Czechs believe that AIDS currently poses for the Czech Republic a problem. A majority of Czech citizens (57%) believe that the relevant institutions engaged in AIDS issues adequately. The vast majority of Czechs (81%) are not afraid of HIV infection.
Citizens on Adoption of Euro - June 2011
According to the June survey of Public Opinion Research Centre, only 21% of Czech citizens approve the adoption of euro as legal tender in the Czech Republic, 68% oppose it. Since April 2010 a support for adoption of euro fell by 17%, while share of disapproval increased by 13%.
Prestige of Occupations
According to June survey of the Public Opinion Research Centre, only 21% of Czechs understands our taxation system. 41% of Czech public sees direct taxation of income as a more correct principle, 26% prefer taxation of consumption, and 33% are undecided on this matter. 70% of citizens approves progressive tax on income, 21% oppose it.
