Popularity of political ideologies
In october 2008 CVVM investigated what are the most popular political ideologies among poeple in Czech republic. Most of informants have choosen social democracy (27 %), followed by liberal (17 %) and conservative (11 %) ideology. Another were ecological approach to politics (10 %), christian democracy (9 %), socialistic (6 %) and communistic (5 %) ideology.

Citizens on Economic Situation of Their Households - October 2008
In October survey CVVM SOÚ AV ČR examined how Czech citizens see the financial situation of their households. They evaluated whether it is difficult to manage with their earnings, but also talked about attitudinal feeling of poverty. 6 % of citizens indicated their household to be rich, whilst 28 % consider it to be poor. Almost two thirds of respondents (65 %) regard their household as neither rich nor poor.
Reasons for joining political parties
In October 2008 the CVVM regular survey focused on questions about reasons for joining political parties. Czechs should also evaluate, whether particular reasons are right or wrong when somebody wants to participate on public life. Afterwards, people were asked, whether they have thought about membership in some political party in the last ten years.
Citizens about the presidency to the European Union
In October survey the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on topic of the presidency of the European Union. The Czech Republic will assume the presidency of the EU on 1 January 2009. The respondents were asked if they are interested in this topic or if they have a lot of informations about the presidency. The survey also investigated citizens’ evaluation of the Czech Republic’s preparations for the presidency.
Citizens on U.S. Anti-Missile Radar Base in Czech Republic - October 2008
According to October survey of CVVM SOÚ AV ČR 66 % of Czech citizens did not agree with planned deployment of U.S. anti-missile radar in Czech Republic, on the other hand 27 % of respondents would approve it. 71 % respondents expressed their opinion that this question should be decided in a referendum, 20 % of Czechs disagreed with holding a plebiscite in this matter. People who are against the referendum are for the most part supporters of idea to locate the U.
Trust to political parties
In september CVVM investigated how people trust to political parties. The most trustful party is currently Czech Social Democratic Party (CSSD, 47 % "trust"). There is a significant gap between CSSD and other parties. The order is following: Green Party (SZ, 30 %), Civil Democratic Party (ODS 28 %) and Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSCM 28 %), Christian and Democratic Union–Czechoslovak People’s Party (KDU-CSL 23 %).
Popularity of Top Politicians
In October 2008 CVVM SOÚ AV ČR investigated whether respondents trust to selected top politicians. They were given a list with 25 names of top politicians. In a survey there were included names of membres of Parliament, president, chairmen of Senate and Chamber of Deputies, leaders of political parties in Parliament, ombudsman and chief of Constitutional Court.

Confidence in constitutional institutions and satisfaction with political situation in October 2008
In October 2008 within the regular survey CVVM SOÚ AV ČR, v.v.i., questioned respondents about their confidence in constitutional institutions. In this month there was a question about their trust to Chambers of Parliament, Government, President, Local and Regional Councils.
As a part of the CVVM surveys there is a question about public satisfaction with current political situation in the Czech Republic.
Czech Public on Conflict in the Caucasus
According to September survey of CVVM 50 % of Czech citizens were concerned with events related to recent conflict of Georgia and Russia due to South Ossetia. Majority of Czechs disagrees with both Georgia's military attack against South Ossetia as well as with Russian reaction.
Party Preferences and Voting Model in October 2008
In October survey CVVM investigated how people trust to political Parties and whether they are willing to take part in elections to Chamber of Deputies. In the press release there are two different types of information : Party preference and a model of voting behaviour.
Party preferences give us information about public sympathy with political Parties in the group of citizens who have voting right and there is also included a part of citizens who will not take part in elections or they do not knot who to vote for.
Confidence to Some Representatives in International Context
September survey focused on attitudes of Czechs to some representatives of international politics. Respondents were asked to express their confidence or non-confidence to some main figures of international policy and persons involved in recent important events, including both main candidates of oncoming presidential election in the U.S., as well as supreme representatives of Central European countries.
